How to Plan a Last Minute Halloween

About: Seasons

Halloween is one of those holidays that sneaks up on you whether you're prepared or not. In just a blink of the eye, we've gone from back-to-school to Halloween and you're left wondering where did the time go. Here are some quick tips from our planning experts at Organized Living to help get you and your family ready for a fun Halloween!

Last minute decor ideas.

Blow up orange balloons and color with a black magic-marker a jack-o-lantern face to make the balloon look like a pumpkin. Group multiple balloons together to create a festive look.

Spray paint old boxes or pieces of cardboard to create a spooky graveyard in your front yard.

Add a strobe-light to your entryway for a spooky way to greet trick-or-treaters.

Use the fake stretchy spider web that you can get at any craft store. Remember, a little goes a long way!

Last minute costume ideas.

Wear all black and put a postage stamp on your shirt. Announce you're 'black mail'.

Photocopy a quarter and tape the copy to the back of your shirt... you're a quarterback. Carrying a football might help others figure this one out!

Write on an old sweatshirt "Go Ceiling" and carry pom-poms. Start cheering "Go Ceiling!" and explain to friends that you're a ceiling fan.

Wear all white. Attach a yellow circle made of cardboard or paper to the center of your shirt so you look like an egg. Wear devil horns and you're now a deviled egg.
